NBC Unveils Fall Schedule, 'Chuck' and 'L&O' in limbo

NBC unveiled their fall schedule today and many favorites were missing. 'Chuck,' 'Law and Order,' 'Medium,' 'My Name is Earl,' and 'Life' were all missing.

As reported yesterday on this site, 'Medium' will return at mid-season. Rumor is that 'Chuck' and 'Law and Order' will also get mid-season pickups. But no official announcement will come until May 19th.

NBC did confirm the renewals of 'Southland,' 'Heroes,' and 'Parks and Recreation.' They will join already renewed shows 'The Office,' '30 Rock,' 'Law and Order: SVU,' 'Friday Night Lights,' 'Celebrity Apprentice' and 'The Biggest Loser.'

6 new series were also announced today.You can read about them after the jump.


'Parenthood' - Based on the 1989 film, it will star Craig T. Nelson, Maura Tierney, and Peter Krause.


'Trauma' - A medical drama from the producers of 'Friday Night Lights' centering on first responder paramedics.


'Mercy' - This show, another medical drama with a unique point of view, portrays the lives of the staff at Mercy Hospital as seen through the eyes of its nurses.

'Day One' - This apocalyptic drama tells the story of life on earth following a global catastrophe that has devastated the world's infrastructures. A band of survivors, all residents of the same Van Nuys apartment building, strive to rebuild society.

'100 Questions' - From the creators of 'Friends' and 'Will and Grace.' When Charlotte joins a popular dating site she is required to take a 100 question compatibility test. Each questions requires her to recount a poignant and humorous time in her life.

'Community' - This is from the directors of 'Arrested Development' and it deals with the student body at Greendale Community College. The group is made up of high school losers, newly divorced housewives, and old people who want to keep their minds active.
