24 coming to an end?

There's been much talk recently about the fate of '24'. Will it be renewed or not? Will NBC decide to pick it up if Fox cancels it? Will it make the jump to the big screen?

Well the answer about it's renewal may already be known.

A casting call for the role of a U.N. secretary general on '24' went out to talent agencies this week and included an advisory: “These are the final episodes, so if some of your name people would like to do something on the show, this is the time for them to do it.”

So far this year, the drama is down 10 percent in viewers (11.7 million versus 12.9 million last year). Kind of surprising that Fox would be willing to cast aside a show that still averages almost 12 million viewers a week. Might be a good idea for NBC to pick it up, they can use all the viewers they can get.
